Here are some highlights from the races last Thursday! If you weren’t there, you missed out! Two to three wide racing throughout the whole night!

After a couple days to reflect, I figured I would come on here and make some comments.

First and foremost, I can’t thank everyone enough for showing up and making this event as special as it truly was. We had a whopping 90 cars in attendance on a Thursday night for a one night a year race. That itself, is astonishing. These drivers showed up not really knowing how the track was going to shape up and put on masterclass of a show. Thank you to every single driver that supported this event.

How about the grandstands??? Holy cow was this place rocking. Like our announcer Todd said,there truly is no crowd like the one at Dodge County Speedway. The atmosphere was electric and had people screaming and on there feet all throughout the night. Thank you to all the fans that showed up!

Now, we understand we had some hiccups throughout the night. We knew we were going to have some growing pains as it’s our first time promoting and pulling off an event of this size. The track was pretty wide for the heat races, but we thought that it was still pretty choppy for the drivers and wanted to create a smoother surface. We intended to just blade and sprinkle and go on with the features not knowing that it would take 45 minutes to an hour for the water to saturate into the surface. That is 100% on us and will be taken into consideration next time. Next, we started on printing checks out immediately after the hobby stock feature. We had some minor issues going on with how they were getting finished and trying to make sure every one was correct. All of these problems can easily be fixed for next time.

We wanted the races to be done by 10:30 at the absolute latest. I think that is very achievable if we didn’t put on as much water as we did during intermission. Like I said, I think the few problems we did have are very easy to fix.

Other than that, I’m very proud of this successful event. I can’t wait for next year. I’m so excited that I want to put on another event this year. We will talk with the fairboard in these upcoming weeks and see if we can’t throw in another one-off event.

IT’S RACE DAY🏁

The sun is shining and the track is in great shape! We look forward to seeing everybody tonight for some great racing!

A few side notes:

Drivers and crew will enter the pits through the south entrance. You can come off the main drag (Mantorville Ave) and turn onto 7th St NE to access the south pit gate. (Follow diagram above)

Drivers and crew! We are very limited on pit space with the anticipated car count. Please please please enter in one vehicle or keep crew vehicle’s outside the pits. It will help us out with parking tremendously.

Drivers entering the pits: We have painted white lines to help accommodate with parking. Please help us out and stay in between the lines to make sure everyone has a spot. We will have people on golf carts driving around to assist with parking.

We ARE selling pit passes at the grandstand as well. Go to the VIP booth and ask for pit pass if needed.

A familiar face and no stranger to the Dodge County Speedway victory Lane.

He’s a 2x USMTS champ and currently sits 3rd in World of Outlaw Late model points. “The reaper” RYAN GUSTIN will look to add another notch to his belt come Tomorrow night in Kasson.

This event is going to be an electric. Dodge County Speedway is the place to be‼️

2x USRA National champ Brandon Davis will be looking to cash in on the main event Thursday night. Brandon is no stranger to Dodge County Speedway as he has won multiple shows in his modified and bmod.

2x USRA National Champ, Lucas Schott will be in attendance and will be a favorite by many to take home the top prize. You won’t want to miss this event!!

IT IS FAIR (RACE) WEEK‼️

We have been hard at it working on the track to provide the best racing surface possible! The track looks smooth, fast, and ready for some jampacked action come Thursday night.

We’ve made a slight adjustment to the hobby stock payout. We threw some MORE MONEY at the purse.

In a couple short weeks, the cars and stars will take on the historic Dodge County Speedway! This is a must-see event as we have already had some big names commit to this race in MULTIPLE classes.

We have gotten together with some great people to create this purse and I can’t wait to see the action it will bring.
