You always see posts with Outbacks and Crosstreks, but I love taking my WRX out on adventures, too! Not only is there a ton of cargo room for all the gear I want to bring, but the mileage for an AWD sedan is amazing. Those last three photos are from my last three fill ups.

A is always a good recharge when it includes fireflies, turtles and cool historic places. A thunderstorm made the confluence super noticeable in the morning.

Slowing down can save lives. Motor vehicle crashes involving wildlife are twice as common in national parks as they are elsewhere. Stay alert and drive carefully in places like Shenandoah National Park, where animals are often on the move.

This is heartbreaking to watch. People give up their pets for myriad reasons, but it seems like more and more people are giving them up due to personal financial crises. 😭

If you're in a position to own a cat, dog or other pet, please check with your local shelters first.

Weird... Went out looking for seashells. Came back with a bunch of stuff that doesn't look like seashells.

With the busy summer season getting started, please remember to pack out everything you bring to the park. Garbage that gets left behind can be harmful to animals as well as other visitors.
