Classic Red, black cloth, a 5-speed manual and 133,186 miles, with the wonderfully simple character that made the original NA Miata an icon. The original Dodge Viper was already outrageous enough, so of course Matchbox had to make the hood part of the show. This 2026 Moving Parts release recreates the 1992 Viper RT/10 in Viper Red, complete with a forward-opening clamshell hood and a detailed 8.0L V10 underneath. Even the opening action feels wonderfully Viper-like. What a fantastic little casting.

1995 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R. In Matchbox form. And yes, it’s every bit as cool as it sounds.

This new 2026 Matchbox Moving Parts release comes finished in Oxford White with an opening hood revealing a surprisingly detailed version of the Cobra R’s big 5.8L Windsor V8. Add in the Cobra badging, SVT details and that unmistakable SN95 shape, and this one absolutely nails the personality of Ford’s hardcore 1995 homologation special.

Only 250 real Cobra Rs were built, which makes this a seriously cool choice for Matchbox to recreate.

This is the 1991 Acura Legend Coupe from Matchbox Moving Parts, finished in Phoenix Red with an Ivory interior. It’s peak early-’90s Acura: clean styling, understated luxury, and just enough weird engineering under the hood to make it interesting.

Honestly, I love that Matchbox made this.

Now…where’s my Infiniti J30?
