When Mountain Goat Offroad builds your suspension, we want to take care of it long after you leave the shop.

That’s why MGO is offering a Lifetime Warranty on MetalCloak Duroflex Control Arm and Durotrak Track Bar Bushings on qualifying suspension systems purchased and professionally installed by Mountain Goat Offroad.

As a MetalCloak Authorized Installer – Gold Plus, we don't just sell you a suspension system and send you on your way. We want to help make sure it continues performing the way it was designed to.

What's Covered?

The Lifetime Bushing Warranty applies to qualifying complete MetalCloak suspension systems purchased from and installed by Mountain Goat Offroad.

For purposes of this warranty, a Complete Kit includes a MetalCloak suspension system containing:

A complete set of control arms / complete control arm kit, or
A complete track bar kit, or
A complete suspension system incorporating those components.

The applicable MetalCloak control arm and track bar bushings within the qualifying system are covered for as long as the original purchaser maintains the warranty requirements.

The Requirement? Let Us Check It Once a Year.

To maintain your Lifetime Bushing Warranty, simply bring your vehicle back to Mountain Goat Offroad once every 12 months for a suspension inspection.

And if you purchased a qualifying complete kit from us?

That annual inspection is FREE.

We'll inspect the suspension, control arms, track bars, bushings, mounting points, hardware and general condition of the system. If something needs attention, we'll let you know before a small issue has an opportunity to become a bigger one.

Why Require an Annual Inspection?

Because even the best suspension components need to be maintained.

Off-road use, Michigan roads, weather, road salt, oversized tires and thousands of miles of suspension cycling all take their toll. Loose hardware, improper torque, worn components or other vehicle issues can place unnecessary stress on suspension components.

An annual inspection gives us an opportunity to catch those things early and keep your MetalCloak suspension working the way it should.

From all of us here at Mountain Goat Offroad, thank you to everyone that came out Saturday for our Open House/Fundraiser!

With everyone’s help, we managed to raise $3,254.00! 🤯 This includes all the proceeds from the 50/50, which was donated back, paid ticket raffles, and donations. All the proceeds will be given to the family to help with medication and care of their son while he fights against Leber Hereditary Optic Neuropathy.

Big shout out to the vendors that came out to attend and set up in the heat.

Saturday was an awesome day. Yes, it was hot but with a nice breeze and the rain stayed away!

We won’t speak for the family, but we will say THANK YOU! We are blown away from the support the Offroad Community gives, even to a complete stranger.

Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspection: The Most Important Part of Wheeling

Everyone loves talking about lifts, lockers, tires, and horsepower. Very few people talk about what keeps you from breaking down on the trail, or worse, losing a component on the road home.

Whether you're hitting a mild trail ride or spending the weekend on hard obstacles, a thorough inspection before and after every wheeling trip should be standard practice.

Pre-Trip Inspection

Steering & Suspension
✅ Track bar bolts and brackets
✅ Control arm bolts and joints
✅ Tie rod and drag link ends
✅ Steering box and sector shaft area
✅ Sway bar links and mounts
✅ Shock mounts and hardware

Look for:

Loose hardware
Elongated bolt holes

Why Torque Marking Matters

One of the simplest and most effective inspection tools is a paint marker.

After torquing critical hardware, place a witness mark across the bolt head and mounting surface.

During inspections you can quickly identify:

Bolts backing out
Component movement
Shifting brackets
Hardware that has lost preload

A 30-second visual inspection can identify issues that might otherwise go unnoticed until a failure occurs.

Post-Trip Inspection

The inspection after the trip is often more important than the one before.

After hard wheeling:

🔍 Check every torque-marked fastener
🔍 Look for fresh fluid leaks
🔍 Inspect steering and suspension joints
🔍 Check driveshafts and U-joints
🔍 Verify wheel and tire condition
🔍 Listen for new noises
🔍 Look for shiny metal, rub marks, and witness marks
🔍 Inspect skid plates and brackets for movement

Pay attention to:

New vibrations
Clunks
Pops
Steering wander
Changes in handling

The vehicle is telling you something. Listen.

The best trail repair is the one you never have to make.
