It’s National Tire Safety Week! Wonder why tires lose air pressure? They’re made of permeable rubber which allows air to leak out over time. In the summer months be sure and check your pressure more than once a month because the rubber expands in the heat, allowing air to escape. If you travel from the beach to the mountains, or visa versa, check your tire pressure because a 10 degree temperature change can drop the inside pressure by 1 to 2 pounds. The tire techs at Harbour Tire are happy to check your pressure for free!
