Excellence is a habit. The science of creating a habit, is as follows:
There's a cue, the routine you want to be a habit, then a reward. You want to tie that reward to a positive feeling to make it addictive.
The most complex and difficult tasks can be broken down into actions, which are what you make the routine. So, what do you want to do/accomplish?
Give the habit a cue that you will follow no matter what, then make yourself feel good no matter what after the action that followed the cue. It can be something as simple as a smile, a laugh, or a bite of chocolate, or a sip of a caffeinated drink that gives you a mild positive feeling. Your body will be impulsed into doing that thing over again.
This also works for stopping bad habits. When you notice the bad habit/routine you want to stop, stop and think about what the cue was. Then either change/avoid that cue, or associate a different action with that cue.
There you have it. Now go change the world with those fantastic habits you want and need.
