Too bad the PDR industry is going down the drain. These hail companies offering no out of pocket expenses. “Save your deductible “, free ceramic coating. Free full detail, full tank of gasoline. On top of that body shops taking hail repair want 40% of the PDR and the PDR company has to write it up. Insurance companies send out their guy to write up estimates. Is that steering?
It was good n the early 90s. Not so much now. Insurance companies see all the free stuff given to customers. They think they are paying too much if you can give all that money away. Matrix remains the same for 20 years.
Door dents pay better. Just saying. I’ve been doing PDR since 1991. Can’t compete with steering, kickbacks and giving away $$. Dealership work not cost effective. Lots of work little money and no respect. Managers want 20% kickbacks.
At the end of the day it’s the Tec that gets screwed, with all the free giveaways.
Let’s not forget the PDR guy’s from other countries working here without work permits.
