We are helping some good friends finish up their season at The Park at Swan Valley in beautiful Swan Valley, ID. If you have never been here, I HIGHLY recommend it. It is nestled at the base of Baldy Mountain and has some of the most amazing views of the mountains and sunsets we have ever seen. It is also only 1.5 hours to Grand Teton National Park and both main routes you can take there are considered scenic byways. Fall Creek Falls is just down the road. Snake River Side Channel is only a few minutes away and I don't know where they got their chefs from, but they have some ridiculously good food.

People are concerned about where we are right now. Yes, we are in Grand Junction, Colorado right now and, yes, there is a very large wildfire within 20 miles of us. We are keeping very close tabs on all the wildfires around us and have 3 different evacuation routes mapped out in case we need to evacuate.

For everyone wondering how we are keeping tabs on the fires around us:
1) The Watch Duty app (which I highly recommend anyone traveling out West use or anywhere like Florida that has wildfires). It shows where the fires are, you can set notifications for different fires, you can enable thermal satellite views that show hotspots (new and old, to track the spread / progress), and if you upgrade you can also see the aircraft supporting the fire suppression (which is pretty cool to see, since they are taking off right down the road from us).
2) The webpage, https://data.coloradoan.com/fires/ which shows all of the fires as well as a smoke map, which is super handy to know.

Track the latest wildfire and smoke information with data that is updated hourly based upon input from several incident and intelligence sources.
