Had so much fun on this project. Learned a lot of new techniques and a few new products that I would love to use again in the future. This truck is a neighbor/friend’s truck and has been in his family for many years with a few different people and carried a lot of memories. To refresh this truck, we started by giving it a deep exterior clean since it had been sitting in the woods for a few years. Then we replaced a fender that had some irreparable body damage. Used bondo on a few dents, which was new to me. Sanded and primered areas that needed smoothing or lacked paint. Cleaned again, and then sprayed Avalanche Gray Plasti Dip for the base color. Next we sprayed Cinnamon red Performance Series Plasti dip for the color. I have been so excited to try this color and it came out more vibrant and rich than I expected it to. Next, we sprayed the Ultra High Gloss. Have not sprayed a 2K clear before, but really enjoyed it and hope to do it again soon! It added so much to the over all appearance of the truck and has a nice finish as well. Ended up spraying the grille and mirrors piano gloss black using hyper dip. Last but not least, using Raptor liner, we rolled in a bed liner. Our goal was a smooth, yet durable bedliner, and customer could not have been more excited with the result. I really hope to do more bedliners and hoping to have the equipment to offer spray in liners soon as well! Please feel free to reach out with any questions. I have quite a few more photos, but reached my limit with what is posted. Having trouble adding videos to post, so I will add them as comments.
