Many times when there is a school shooting or hostage situation anything really on those lines it's a bit of a trigger for me. As I lived through it myself it's not often though that my mom reaches out because she feels the weight of the memory of those moments herself. We need to do better but we also need to make sure all those that are touched by these events are taken care of emotionally and mentally it took me over 40 years to realize that being there that day had effected me in such a life changing way. I often wonder about the other students that was there with me and how they are finally at 44 years old I am in therapy to help with these traumas and I pray that every one touches by these type situations also get the help they need .
