Boy oh boy. Those Chrysler 3.6L engines are always fun. This customer called me out to replace lifters, rocker arms, and camshafts on his Chrysler 200. These 3.6L engine are known for failing lifters, leading to worn out cam lobes. This causes horrible running conditions, as well as a loud tapping sound while running. You can see in some of the pictures, the sharp raised edges on the cam lobes. Those edges aren't actually raised, the center of the lobes are worn down so much, it leaves those sharp edges. This one was pretty bad, but it's all back together with brand new components. They also had me replace the water pump, water outlet housing, and thermostat while I was there.

This 2010 Dodge Charger 3.5L gave me a fit today! Had some issues with an oil pressure switch and fuel injector on cylinder 6 causing a misfire. Gotten the oil pressure switch replaced and taken care of, changed the Injector on cylinder 6 and... still had a misfire on cylinder 6 🤔 Did some digging to find that the ECM is commanding a constant ground, instead of providing a ground pulse to energize the Injector on/off. The cylinder 6 fuel Injector driver inside of the ECM is bad, causing the injector to stick open at all times when the vehicle is running. Unfortunately, this one needs a computer 😭

If you know, you know! 5.4L Triton engine, 8 ignition coils, 8 spark plugs, in less than an hour, nothing broken. I'd call that a good day!

Being a one man operation has its ups and downs. For the most part, it's all ups. But, every once in a while, it has its downs 😓

Friday night, I started feeling a little sick shortly after eating dinner. Throughout Saturday, that turned into nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, bathroom trips every 15 minutes, fever, chills, the works. It carried over into yesterday, and now today.

Being the only person in the business, means everything falls on me. Anybody that really knows me, knows that I don't miss work. I'll fight, push, and work through most anything. Whatever I came down with, is FIERCE! It has me down and out, with no end in sight. I'm hoping to wake up tomorrow, feeling 100% again. I hate letting people down. I hate telling people that have been waiting on my schedule to open up, that I cannot honor their appointments. I hate the idea that people are counting on me to get them back on the road, and I'm letting them down. 😣 It really sucks. For those that I had to cancel on today, I sincerely apologize. For anybody that has reached out today and I have not responded to, I'm sorry. I am not intentionally ignoring anybody. I'm just really, really sick. I'm doing my best to stay on top of everything, and get everybody taken care of as quickly as possible. Please bare with me as I get over whatever this awful sickness is!

I've been chasing Hot Dog House FL for over a year, A YEAR!!! My schedule never lines up for me to catch them 😒

Today, God was smiling down on me. I stayed out later than usual for a few diagnostics in Hilliard. Once I was done, I started making my way home, and I saw a miracle happen right before my eyes 🥹

I was making my way down CR108, minding my own business, talking to my wife on the phone... Out of the corner of my little eye, what did I spy??? The Hot Dog House Fl trailer 😍

I didn't know a full size truck and 12 ft trailer could spin around so fast 🤣 I spun the Big Boy’s Automotive Repair truck and trailer around faster than you can say... well, fast... I spun it around fast.

I FINALLY got to try The Dirty Dina, recommended by my amazing friends over at Krackers Boiled Peanuts. That's right, over a year later, I haven't forgotten the recommendation! It was WAY BEYOND expectations 🤤 I have now found a new addiction 😅 I have a figure to maintain, so I guess it's not a bad thing 😂

Do you ever hear a "clicking noise" when turning your wheel one direction, or the other? When was the last time you had your cv axles checked out?
This customer heard a clicking sound once or twice while turning. We got it checked out and found the boot completely separated on the passenger side cv axle. They also needed front brake pads and rotors.
Luckily, we are mobile and were able to meet with them at work today to get their vehicle taken care of while they worked. Nobody wants to spend money on unexpected repairs, much less miss a day of work and lose money twice!

We get rained on, not rained out! Had a fun one yesterday with a 2015 Ford Ta**us 3.5L engine. Waiting on an engine to be delivered so that we can get it put back together.

This is the same Ford Ta**us that I posted about a week or two ago that had multiple shops/mechanics work on it. We found even more issues yesterday while disassembling the vehicle. I can't wait to have this car running so this gentleman can enjoy driving it.
