We started DCRovers as fellow Land Rover owner's and enthusiast. Our owner is hands on enthusiast and a fellow Defender and Range Rover Classic driver.

He runs the company himself personally and is our expert rebuilder. Automotive restoration shop that focuses on Series, Defender, and Range Rover Classics. We do engine conversions from the Chevrolet LS platform to the Mercedes 3.0L diesel and various in between. Our master rebuilder and owner, rebuilds the 200/300tdi plus top hat sleeved Rover V8 himself. We are known for our "forever" Defender w

hich is a land rover built using only primary "first world" parts from known places and reputable brands. No one wants to drive a Chinese/Indian parts truck which we often find in our competitors trucks. Unlike many others we save our labels where possible and hand them over to our customers, so you know what was used and where. At days end, no one likes tomfoolery, and we only want to build trucks that we can be proud of. We also work and maintain a fleet of customer vehicle in the Mid-Atlantic region and work on all Land Rover's prior to 2010 at $75 an hour.

Another full rewire! Second one this year already! Gotta love old Land Rover's and their fantastic lucas wiring and the 25+ years of tinkering which very often does no good.

That moment when you just walk away out of sheer disbelief! Spacer made of wood! $50k plus car.... just WTF.

Another one off the road! This was a $50k+ frame that was supposedly restored! Hit with a hot pressure washer and tada! Nothing worse than tomfoolery and a frame quickly undercoated to hide the fact that you can poke through her with a thin pick in numerous locations. What a joke!

Dear other builders, can we please start soldering (or crimping) connections? We are tired of having to call customers about your awful tape jobs and incorrect soldering joints! It only takes a minute or two longer. Do it once, do it right!
