We are going to be putting this out on our youtube page soon but wanted to get this out to the public. Perfect apples to apples comparison of the Dos Performance 100 vs an FP Zero on the exact same car. Car is a 2015 STI Launch Edition owned by Bryan M running an old IAG Stage 4 Shortblock with Stage V Heads + all the trimmings needed for a max effort stock location run were there, AMS Manifold, 3.5” hard Inlet, Big FMIC core, zero restrictions. The FP dyno runs were done in April so weather was a bit on the cooler side so keep that in mind as well. No matter how hard we tried to push the FP (customer wanted everything it had, hoping for 700+) 638whp & 512wtq was the best we could get targeting 38psi . He was disappointed to say the least.
Fast forward a few months I was talking to the guys at DOS and they were asking for updates and told them at this point with the direction Im heading with my own cars, it would be best we get this on someone else that had a setup which could get them the figures they needed. Lightbulb goes off in my head and I had just the car.
If the DOS couldnt deliver here, there was something clearly wrong with the car at this point. So on goes the DOS 100 in replacement of the FP Zero and what i noticed immediately was that the DOS, even though being a 68mm vs a 62mm, matched the spool of the FP Zero right from the start and hitting full song at about 4600-4700 rpm. I did not expect that because all the other graphs I had seen of these turbos, they looked VERY laggy, seeing some not hitting peak boost until 5500+. So right away im very impressed for a stock location 68mm turbo. Then the power kept coming and within two pulls we had passed the Zero’s best and made its way comfortably past 700whp getting to 755 before we were forced to stop progress. Ultimately, in which you will see in the graph as the power drops off, we lost fuel pressure and it held us back from getting to 800whp. is confident this will do 800+ easily once the pressure situation is addressed and the owner will also be upgrading his ID2000s (which might be older than the car itself) to a fresh set of 2150s for good
So consider this a To Be Continued. But video will be dropping in the coming weeks not only of the DOS 100 but also the DOS 70 which impressed us lately on an alternate car.
