Here it is everyone! We are changing it up a little. I cant thank Stephen Liss for the help! I had a idea to mix it up a bit and bring a little bit of fun into this thing we call bracket racing and Stephen and I shot around a few different scenarios and we feel as this would be a lot of fun! We are only taking 32 entries, Race is on Friday May 15th at Great Lakes Dragaway. Start time to be decided. If weather is a concern I have full confidence we can get it in as it is a full bracket weekend so we have atleast Sat to attempt! I will confirm with track as time goes on!

The 2020 Bracket Battle presented by DownLow Promotions

-Entry fee $200 + track TnT fee
-No buy backs (see below)
-Open to all entries.
-Cross-talk will be on. In the event a no box car entered cross-talk will be turned off if both are no box cars or if the no box car is the faster car
-32 car field max
-Round 1 will be run like any other race. Random draw for opponent and lane choice.
-Round one winners will move to winners bracket (bracket A)
-Round one losers will be move to Second chance bracket (bracket B)
-Bracket A and B will run separate till one competitor remains
-Finals will be winner of bracket A vs winner of Bracket B
-Payouts based on brackets listed below.

Bracket A Bracket B
$3000 win
$1000 Runner up
$400 Rnd 5 Loser $400
$300 Rnd 4 Loser $300

-If racer from Bracket A wins overall race all racers in Bracket A in the 3rd round will receive a bonus $50 (excluding event winner)
-If racer from Bracket B wins overall race all racers in Bracket B in the 3rd round will receive a bonus $50 (excluding event winner)

This was a refreshing trip this weekend! Even though it was miserable hot I got alot out of it! We have been chasing big money races this year and have done well! But this race summed it up for me! I want to bracket race again. I dont enjoy sitting in my motorhome for 6 hrs in between rounds. If i wanted to do that id go camping and have a cold beer in my hand. Chasing after 50k 100k 500k 1 million is fun, the idea of it atleast and winning it is amazing! But right now give me a 10k where theres a possibility of a gamblers race! I have a race car to race it and be competitive not look at it in front of my trailer. That's what car shows are for. Looking forward to real bracket racing again not to say i won't attend a big one but give me a race where i can have a beer with a fellow racer before midnight!

It's been a week since SFG300 in Cedarfalls Iowa. A busy week kept me from posting but I just need to it's been amazing! We dont race every weekend! We dont have the best equipment. But I feel lucky to say we can compete with some of the best in the country. Most of us go to these races with the hope we can make it too late rounds. We have done it a few times now over the past few years! We all watch all the top guys go rounds on motormania and hope we are able to compete with them and we have proven we can! Can't wait for the SFG500!
