Out with the old and in with the new…
Parts installed:
- Hybrid Racing Performance Shifter Cables
- MBRP Exhaust (Carbon center tip with Burnt Stainless tips)

Parts not installed (yet):
- Laile Beatrush Mid Floor Performance Bar

So this part won’t fit the USDM model as is, BUT I have a feeling if I can move the V***r Canister underneath the rear passenger seat it’ll fit. So I’m thinking longer bolts with spacers to position the box just a half-inch lower OR some custom bracket to move the canister a bit out of the way.

I’ve looked at the JDM v***r canister and that would work but I don’t know if it’s compatible with US emissions. I’ll try unbolting it and seeing if I can squeeze in the bar and bolt it all back up since I already have the Beatrush brackets in place.
Stay tuned…

Couple part installed over the weekend… the NGK Ruthies were done a little while back. I’m at 50K miles and figured I should change the plugs since I’m FBO (minus exhaust).

The FL5 Air Guides for the front brakes fit with a little modification. See the write up by on what to do - that’s where I got the idea.

Lastly, while changing the oil and filter, I installed the cooling plate made by HPT. It’s WAY sturdier than the OEM piece, plus the venting should allow for some hot air to exit the engine bay (need to look into a 1st Molding carbon hood to maximize cooling).

I also have HPTs triple pass radiator, Acuity Reverse Radiator hoses to do… too many parts, not enough time. Stay tuned…

Did a little modification to the HKS BOV… I was saddened to realize that on the CTR, you have to pick either to recirculate the air OR vent to atmosphere but retain the ability to use the SSQV fin inserts. So, I modified the insert I have, shaved I down A LOT, so it would fit with the recirculating fl**ge.

I’ll have to see how it sounds when I take it out for a spin tomorrow afternoon. Stay tuned…

Almost there… the HKS BOV and recirculating kit are installed. EVS Tuning’s Eventuri HKS BOV Adapter is in. Just waiting on the Air Bypass Valve Control Solenoid to arrive (on the 12th, since mail wont run on Veteran’s Day) and then I can connect the two vacuum lines pictures and fire her back up. Super stoked and can’t wait! Stay tuned…

Installing the HKS BOV and broke one of the spouts off the boost control solenoid (2nd pic) on the back of the block… I’ve got another on order so I’m waiting on it to come in.

Also realized the HKS BOV hoses make contact with the Eventuri carbon box and the intake box won’t fit, SO I’ve ordered an adapter kit from Evasive Motorsport to relocate the BOV further back (toward the firewall) and lower so the new hose will allow the intake box to fit. Meanwhile new clamps and Boost Tubes are in - no AOS work yet. Stay tuned…

Got everything I need to swap out my cold side PRL Charge Pipe for 27WON’s Grey Boost Tubes and HKS Pipe with SSQV4 BOV - yes I have the recirculating kit parts as well.

The individual I purchased the HKS parts from included ALL the parts, every nut, bolt, and vacuum tube - he even included the alternate purple and gold insert fins. I really lucked out! It’s just been sitting in the garage for about a year now.
Just need to tell the wife that I need a car day to install this AND the Verus Engineering AOS. Stay tuned…

I see why people pay to get their roofs wrapped. This was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. I brought my bride in to help me out and it’s finally done. Now the roof matches my hood scoop, fender vents, fuel door, and rear hatch trim. Don’t look too close, there are a few creases from where the vinyl was stretched and we tried the best we could to smooth it out. Also, there are about 3 additional vinyl pieces around the rear antenna where I messed up in my original measurements. Will I get it redone? Sure at some point, but I’ll leave it for now.

It’s all a learning process! More to come…

Done: Verus Engineering 10th Gen Civic Master Cylinder Brace

Noticeable? YES, the firewall deflection is gone and brake pedal feel is definitely improved. This is a worthwhile mod and doesn’t require the 27WON front strut tower brace (for those that may have other branded tower bars).

Time to install? Took me about 30mins. Had a rivet nut gun on hand and LUCKILY didn’t drop anything into the abyss that is the FK8 engine bay.

Next up… the Verus Engineering FK8 Air-Oil Seperator (I’ll have to temporarily move my Flex Fuel kit on the firewall to get this installed - the rivet nut uses a hole behind it).

Clapped Beemer driver gave me a 👎 at an intersection… 🤭🤣🤭 Haters gonna hate I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Found my MASSIVE vacuum leak, I won’t detail it, it’s pretty embarrassing. Well… ah who cares: The Eventuri was holding on with one bolt at the turbo, no clue when/where the other bolt disappeared to. Car is back to running strong with the RV660 and Ultimate Racing intercooler.

Need to install springs soon… and probably take an angle grinder to a section of the crash beam, and enlarge the bumper opening for this skyscraper of an intercooler (the top is even with the top of the crash beam)… itching to get these car projects done. Maybe I’ll wrap the roof next? Order the Mugen Rear Under Spoiler? More to come…

FK8 has been back together, this is is a slightly old picture - been chasing down an O2 sensor issue currently: P0133 - B1S1 Slow Response. Naturally no place has it in stock locally, but found a dealer to ship one to me for under $200. Now I’m just waiting on it to show up so I can throw it in and be rid of the drivability and terrible gas mileage.

Next up? Great question… RV6 has released their anti-surge bits for the turbo, but I’d have to send mine and purchase just the updated bits OR buy a new unit with the piping, which is pricey (all things compared). Or I can upgrade my fueling OR upgrade the intake manifold with the PracWorks carbon manifold. Decisions, decisions… more to come

Like everyone else (😂🤣) Gen 2 XB LEDs are on and they look awesome!! The eye dyno says they’re brighter than the V1s (4 low beams vs 3) and the animations are SO SMOOTH!! With all that said, I’ll prolly have the V1s up for sale in a few weeks (need to clean them up first). In BAD need of a wash, but since the Morimotos are freshly coated with Gyeon’s ceramic, I have to wait, BUT the Father’s Day pressure washer and Chemical Guys foam cannon are ready to go!!More to come…
