Following this weekend’s event I’d like to post a thank you to the Promoter of mountain creek truck fest Steve Vinciguerra. Steve and his entire staff were able to put together a very relaxed yet action packed event that was like a miniature Bloomsburg on a beautiful fall weekend and I thought it was a great time for everybody involved. Just looking around you could see a lot of thought and care was put into the event and that Steve has a lot of passion in what he does. His willingness to work with myself and the Bursey Family to create this surprise reenactment for Kid Rarig was above and beyond and enjoyed by everyone in attendance young and old. When Steve pitched the idea to crush the Lincoln town car and place it in the same spot where Kid Crushed Cars at this same Fairground 40 years earlier I knew we had something special on our hands. Gage Bursey’s commitment to the old school feel wearing an open face helmet and neck collar for the car crush was just the icing on the cake for an authentic old school monster truck moment. It’s things like this that I live for and am so glad everybody could come together and create a special memory for Kid Rarig and the Pennsylvania crowd. The Pa Mountain Monster will now be tucked away for a little while but there is many more exciting things to come in the near future. If you thought this was old school cool, you haven’t seen anything yet 🏴‍☠️
