Waking to a slightly cloudy 60 deg. (apparently the snow melted overnight). This morning Laverne and I are heading out to represent the Phoenix Chapter of the Distinguished Gentlemen's Group, VeloRUSH and Cruising66 at Scottsdale's gathering of motorized wheels aka "Coffee and Cars" and, with luck, will meet up and break some bread with my friend, the ever so dapper and distinguished Pulitzer Prize winning author, Paul Brinkley-Rogers.

I sometimes forget that my happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something I don't have, however, this morning I am going to enjoy a cupa with my bride and then meet up with a monthly gathering of folks that love what life has brought them - in addition to the Ferraris, Bimmers, Beemers, Harleys and the errant '34 (or so) Bentley drop-head. Have a Great Day yourselves.

We were just notified that today is the anniversary of the forming of our REVit Enterprises, (the parent of VeloRUSH), so I thought I'd post the trailer for our (in-development) video production department. We're certainly having fun and thanks all for your support !!!

Life can be so full of "lessons". This morning I received news that the bright light that was Maria De Villota had been temporarily dimmed by her death yesterday. Not having known her personally I can only speculate as to the light that will continue to shine on as the example of absolute courage to continue on after her horrendous crash last year and the head injuries she suffered in the freak accident while testing at the Duxford Aerodrome. Her soon to be released autobiography "Life is a Gift" will surely inspire and carry the light that was her mantra "carry on and carry forward" as she did with and through the use of her many gifts. Difficult and sad news certainly.

RIP Maria. The radiance of your smile and the gift of your presence will be the memory that carries many through life's challenges.

It’s with a heavy heart that the VeloRUSH team must call off this year’s veteran’s benefit “A Ride for Real Heroes”. Our Indiegogo campaign can only be described as disastrous. Clearly we did something wrong. While we received fantastic and enthusiastic support from some individuals as well as groups such as Bikersrock.org, the general response was, for lack of a better word, underwhelming. So, we are regrouping, figuring out what we did wrong, taking the appropriate steps and optimizing for success next year.

An enthusiastic Thank You !! to all that showed up with their support ~ we hope you’ll keep up with us on our VeloRUSH FB page and rejoin for next year’s veteran’s benefit “A Ride for Real Heroes”.
