You see this on your car. What are your thoughts?
A) Looks good
B) Sloppy work
C) Incorrect part
D) Both B and C
First off, that worm gear clamp is way to big to seal this hose
Second, at least cut the 3 inches off the tail buddy
Most importantly, don't throw away the old factory spring clamps that were on the old hose. Reinstall those bad boys on the new hose. Or get new spring clamps, Autozone carries them. Trust me, save yourself the headache.
One of the biggest misconceptions by the DIY'er is that adjustable hose clamps are better than the 'crap' ones the cheap engineers designed from the factory.
The OEM squeeze type clamps seal all the way around, never leak unless they are broken and will blacken your fingernail if you give it a chance.
The screw type clamps seal in a horse shoe shape and can not seal as well, I dont care how tight you crank it.
I just wanted to share this because people slap these clamps on everything and I dont even recycle them. Straight in the trash!
