🚨 NEW ORDER ANNOUNCEMENT! 🚨

IKON Fire is proud to announce that the Laramie County Fire Authority in Cheyenne, Wyoming, has officially placed an order for a new custom Rosenbauer Group Rescue Pumper! Slotted to be placed in service as Engine 751 on the western edge of Cheyenne, this apparatus is custom-designed from the ground up to protect LCFA’s primary district while remaining fully equipped for mutual aid responses across neighboring jurisdictions.

Built on a Rosenbauer COMMANDER™ chassis featuring an 11-inch raised roof and a severe-duty Rosenbauer EXT body, this rig is powered by a high-output Cummins X15 525-HP engine paired with an Allison 4000 EVS transmission. Safety and crew comfort are enhanced with heated West Coast style rearview mirrors, side and rear-facing cameras, a Shoreline block heater, a Setcom intercom system, and a rear-facing in-cab storage cabinet for quick-access gear.

The water and suppression setup centers around a Waterous CSUC22 1,500-GPM pump with a Trident air primer, a 1,000-gallon poly tank, and a FoamPro 2001 Series Class A/B foam system supplied by a generous 40-gallon foam cell. Cold-weather readiness includes an integrated pump enclosure heat pan. For tactical discharge options, the engine features a front bumper 5-inch intake, a Task Force Tips Crossfire deck gun with a TFT 18-inch electric telescoping waterway, and a front bumper hosewell with dedicated extrication tool storage.

Designed for heavy-duty rescue operations, the body is outfitted with a custom swing-out airbag storage module, a Knight Series Command Light tower, OnScene Solutions Night Axe LED compartment lights, and OnScene Solutions Access LED hosebed lighting. The emergency lighting package includes a FireTech brow light, Whelen M9 scene lights, a full Whelen emergency lighting package, a Whelen traffic advisor, and a classic Federal Q2B mechanical siren.

Whether it’s hitting the fire ground fast with a front bumper gun and hose reel, running pump-and-roll initial attack, nursing lines, or feeding drop tanks in low-hydrant rural areas via the electric Zico folding tank rack and 180° rear dump chute, this truck is ready for duty.

Cancer remains one of the greatest threats facing the modern fire service. While no single technology offers a 100% cure-all, every tactical step we take to mitigate exposure matters.

For this week’s Friday Feature, we’re highlighting the Rosenbauer Clean Air Scrubber, an advanced in-cab filtration system designed to actively scrub airborne contaminants, off-gassing particulates, and cancer-causing carcinogens out of the cab environment.

Why In-Cab Filtration Matters:

Continuous Air Scrubbing: Uses HEPA and activated carbon filtration to capture fine particulate matter and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) off-gassed from gear after a job.

Reducing Exposure Time: Significantly decreases the duration of time firefighters inhale toxic substances on the ride back to the station.

A Tool in the Toolbox: Technology alone doesn't replace proper gross decontamination, hood swaps, and shower-out protocols, it works alongside them as an additional layer of defense.
