Don’t hide ’em… DRIVE ’EM.

Rain, shine, thunder, lightning or bugs in your teeth… these old rides weren’t built to sit under covers in the garage lookin’ pretty.
A little rain never hurt steel that’s already survived 50 years of burnouts, backroads, drive-ins, and late night cruising.
So wipe the windshield, fire that hot rod up, and let her eat.Because memories don’t happen parked in the shop.
Real car people know… the best views come through a rain covered windshield with the radio turned up and the tires humming down the highway.

Made it out to Quint & Mary’s Silverhill Memorial Car Show and somehow survived a full day of grillin’, eatin’, and lawn chair racin’ 😂

Tried to get Squirrel and Mikey-D to come on down, but apparently they had more important things to do… or maybe they just knew Dean was gonna try to eat all the ice cream in Silverhill 🍦🤣

James and Shawn rolled over from Pensacola, and between the cars, the food, and the nonstop carrying on, it turned into one heck of a good day with good friends.

Pretty sure we solved most of the world’s problems …but forgot to write any of it down 🤷‍♂️😂 Part 7

Before I start any upholstery project, I always do a Test to calibrate the machine to the thread weight and materials I'm using for the project. Also gives me a chance to test out pleat widths and sew foam thickness. Takes a little extra time, but it helps ensure the quality of the end product. Keep an eye out for a sweet squarebody seat coming next week.

Here at Wastin Gas Garage we’re gettin this old 1962 Pontiac Safari wagon back where she belongs… cruisin the streets!

We’ve been chasin air ride gremlins and gettin the exhaust fixed up right so she can finally breathe again. Ain’t always glamorous work, but there’s somethin satisfying about bringin one back to where they need to be!

These old wagons got soul… they just need somebody stubborn enough to keep turnin wrenches on ‘em. She’s gettin closer every day and we can already hear her cruisin down the backroads again.

Stay tuned… this long roof is gonna be back layin frame and makin noise real soon. 🔥🚘💨
