DREDD IS BACK. 😈🏁

After the last event in June, we finally had a chance to dig into Dredd and figure out what was going on with our traction issues. What we found… definitely wasn’t what we wanted to see. 🤦‍♂️

We had broken the differential and, somehow, managed to basically weld the CV axle into the differential. 😳

So we pulled everything apart and sent it off to Jeremy and the entire crew at RPM Transmissions, and they immediately jumped on it and got us taken care of so we could get the car back together, testing, and dialed in for this month’s event.

I honestly can’t say enough about Jeremy — not only as a person, but as the face of RPM Transmissions. He is genuinely ALL IN with us and our program, and that means more to us than we can put into words. Thank you again, Jeremy, and everyone at RPM, for everything you guys do for us. It truly means the world. 🤝

And we can’t forget Dan and the guys at Circle D Specialties. They’re always making sure our converters — both for Dredd and our customer cars — are serviced, changed, and ready to go on the fly. They make the whole process absolutely painless and FAST. We can’t thank you guys enough for the support you continue to give us. 🙏

After burning the midnight oil getting Dredd back together, we finally took the car out to Darlington Dragway Wednesday night for some testing…

And BOY OH BOY did this car surprise us. 😳🔥

A 100+ foot power wheelie is definitely something you can brag about… but it’s also something we need to get a handle on — QUICK. 😂

Other than that, the car went straight down Broadway and went down it in STYLE! We got a ton of data, and now it’s back to the laptop to fine-tune everything and keep pushing.

We’re getting closer. 👀

Stacey & Richard brought us this super rare 2014 Ford Mustang GT featuring the Roush Stage 3 package — and this one is seriously special.

Not only is it a beautiful, low-mile, rare-spec S197, but this one is also equipped with the Ford Aluminator engine along with full bolt-ons. They brought it to us for a complete once-over and a fresh retune to make sure everything is dialed in and performing the way it should.

We don’t get to see these very often anymore, and getting our hands on a clean, properly spec’d 2011-2014 Mustang definitely brought back some memories. 😎

There’s just something about these S197s… they don’t make ’em like they used to. 🐎🔥

We had a little extra time, so we decided to try something different on our 2025 Mustang GT and put together our TMS Race Exhaust System. 🔥

This exhaust features a unique configuration, constructed completely from stainless steel and utilizing 3” piping. The result? We couldn’t be happier with the way this Coyote is sounding! 😮‍💨🏁

This current configuration is built specifically for our racers, but we’ll be offering the TMS Race Exhaust System to customers in the future with the option of single or quad tips out the back.

A little old-school came through the shop! 🔥

This 1967 Chevrolet Nova came in for a retune and to get the fuel trims straightened out. We found some vacuum routing issues along with injectors that needed to be cleaned and flowed, so we got everything sorted out and dialed back in.

Under the hood is a stock 4.8L Gen 3 LS swap, and this thing is definitely built to cruise. Dave puts the miles on it and takes this beauty on some serious road trips.

And let us tell you… this Nova is IMMACULATE. Absolutely a treat to work on and tune. We love seeing these old cars getting modern LS reliability while keeping that classic look. 🇺🇸

Harry brought his beautiful 1987 C10 back to us for another round of upgrades! 🔧

When he dropped it off, the 4L60E had already given up the ghost, so we knew this round was going to include a transmission upgrade. We replaced it with a Gearstar-built 4L80E along with one of their spec'd converters.

The factory GM engine harness and fuse box from the 2004 Silverado the drivetrain originally came from also weren't doing this truck any justice under the hood. We cleaned everything up with a Painless Performance swap harness for a much cleaner look.

Since we were already going through everything, we decided to pull the engine and give the top end a little more airflow with a set of Magnum Racing 243 CNC-ported heads from our friends at Michigan Motorsports! 💪

We got it all back together and added a little e-cutout setup too, so Harry can make some extra noise whenever he wants to grab some attention with this already beautiful truck! 😎

She's back with Harry now, enjoying some cruising time while breaking in the new drivetrain. Then it's time for a smaller pulley on that Maggie and we're going after the 600+ WHP mark! 👀🔥

Happy Friday Everyone!

We’re starting to have some serious Dredd withdrawals over here… 😂

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve taken this thing out, so here’s a little reminder of what it’s capable of. 🏁

Still holding the title of the fastest naturally aspirated automatic C6 Corvette in the country. 🏆

Might be time to wake this thing back up… because we’re definitely missing it around the shop. 😂
