Recently we converted a 16v intake manifold to accept an OBD1 throttle body (with water/meth port). We removed the existing fl**ge and press-in barb, formed a filler piece, and fitted and full welded the new throttle fl**ge on. The barb was replaced with a 6AN b**g and we also added the throttle cable bracket. To finish it off we blended the weld and made a few passes with a needle scaler to add the texture.

Detailed repair process to this damaged R32 crank. It's a supercharged setup that had a 1 piece double pulley; 1 track to drive the serpentine and 1 to drive the charger. There was no way to hold back while tightening on the aftermarket pulley and it was undampened. Eventually the bolt backed out and the pulley fell off causing the damage.
Now the crank is repaired, a Fluidampr pulley is installed, and a new bolt-on charger drive pulley will be supplied by iABED Industries .

Occasionally we do not car-related things. Custom record cabinet for our friends and . Dakota supplied the dimensions and we executed the rest. Drawn in CAD, cut from 0.188" ALU, and given a brushed finish. All the panels clip together and then are locked using a ground pin tool in the air hammer.

Intake manifold we built for another shaved bay MK1 TDi project we have going on. We started with the lower portion of an OE manifold and built up from there. The plenum transitions from the original roughly 1.25" width to 2.5" ending with a 2.5" @411.works clamp.

This week we're highlighting a fitting that's not commonly needed but when that occasion arises it's nice to know this option exists. When building a custom radiator for your MK4/5/6/7 you may want to retain the OE quick disconnect fittings and these weld-ons allow you to do so. Machined from 6061 with a long enough extension to get a good weld seam but short enough to not push your hoses out.
Though not listed, we also can machine these weld-ons in the smaller size to match the heater core connections
