Old school tuning with some EGTs, carbs, and a custom 650 kit for this 89 exciter 570. It’s what I started tuning with before all this fuel injected tech and boy is it fun to bring back. Too sketchy to hold to 60mph with one hand though. Maybe next time!

In from the St Louis area, Dustin Thomas and Josh Jelks decided to roll together in style. Pretty cool pic after yesterday’s dyno session. As it gets cooler out, dyno work will be coming to an end as the season winds down. I’ve already started a list for 2025 in April, so let me know if you’d like to get on it!

Haltech Swap Sunday! Even though the engine bay says it, the Haltech swap is no financial mistake. This evo 9 came in with an AEM series 2 and a can of ether. Let’s make sure all we need to start this car from now on is the turn of a key 🔑

Something different rolled onto the dyno this week… a DF Goblin!

How often do you see one of these in person, let alone get to tune it? For those who don’t know, it’s essentially a Cobalt powertrain/subframe dropped into a lightweight go-kart chassis. And yes, it’s 100% street legal.

This one’s running a K04 turbo on pump gas, tipping the scales at under 1500 lbs wet. The result? A rowdy 300whp with more torque than the rear tires know what to do with!

Definitely one of the more memorable cars I’ve had on the rollers. It’s light, raw, and an absolute riot to drive. 🥳

I’m back from vacation and excited to jump back into things!

In the meantime, I just picked up a super clean, 65k-mile bone-stock auto 1G DSM, and I’ve got a fun plan for it. I’ll be adding common bolt-on upgrades one at a time, strapping it to the dyno after each step, and tracking exactly how much power every mod makes.

Who wants to see the results as this project comes together?
