Next week will probably bring the end to fall\ leaf clean up and final mowing. I'll be doing the same with my yard, just taking the top off the grass so it's even cut and ready for winter. I can bag large yard's long as I can use my garden tractor to push the leave's over to a central location to clean up with my walk behind mower with a bagger. The bagger i got with the 2185 parts tractor won't work on the 2186 with the 44 inch deck, as I don't have the right lower piece to go on the deck. I'm currently working to get the cub cadet 2186 ready to sell, but keep running into the issue where it's eating the deck drive belt. Thought I had found the problem, but still keep smelling hot belt after running the deck for a few.

With the work on my 1440 cyclops cub until I can find a replacement grille assembly, I'm going to start offering a few service's. Snow blower\ snow blade mounting and changing of engine or transmission fluid and filter. Engine oil and filter is $20 + cost of supply's, transmission fluid and filter is $100 + supplies and 2 days are required to do the work due to fact that I clean the inside of the rear housing ( certain models I can do this with like the old international cub cadet's and the cyclop's models like 1440, 1641, 1862, 1863,1864 and similar but not limited to ) some are not serviceable and are sealed with only a vent. For example the cub cadet listed above, you will have $100 in fluid and another $20 in filter and cost for 1 maybe 2 can's of brake clean to clean the housing, which run about $7 each. I do not use cheap transmission \ hydraulic oil you get from TSC or rural King, I buy what was recommended by the international harvester dealer that's same as hy-tran. If your tractor has power steering and it's whining when turning, I can put some additive in to help that, for an additional $20 . I just done my 1864 cub last week, but have yet to do much driving or anything with it, due to the weather.

I do consider trade's toward's labor cost only, item's interested in are wide frame cubs cadet's with actual starter not starter generator made by international harvester, Cyclops cub cadet's and attachment for them like tiller, sleeve hitch\ 3 point hitch or?

Engine is back in the 1440 and it is back running again! Even installed a new throttle cable while I was at it! Wow is it great to hear that 14hp running right again... Tomorrow I just have to pull the 1 valve cover off again and check my gap on the push rods as I hear some tapping on the side I replaced the head gasket on. It would have been done back in Saturday, but had some last minute cleaning I had to do prior to engine getting it's heat shields reinstalled from where the valve cover gaskets had been seeping since before I got it the way things was covered. Also had found piece's to a starter ( gear and the nose that holds the spring in place on end of starter ) inside the blower housing. Since it's late in the mowing season and almost at the end, I'm not going to reinstall
The deck that I swapped over to the 1864 cub. I'm going to drop the mule drive off for the deck and install the snow blade for now. If they start talking a heavy snow coming, I'll pull the blade and install the single stage blower on it and the 1864 will get the 2 stage blower. I still have work on both of those to get them 100% ready by spraying them down on the inside of the housing to prevent the snow from sticking.

So update on the cub. I do believe it's fixed now and no more gas leak! If your changing that grommet for the fuel level sensor, install the grommet first in the tank then, install the sensor in it. Might need to add a little 2 cycle oil or even mixed 2 cycle gas would work as well. Just need something to help that sensor go in the grommet easier. About 15 min job to change that total given the nuts and lock washer's don't decide to run off on you. 😁

Here is a tip, if you have a cub cadet model 1440, 1541, 1641, 1882, 1883,1884 and a few others that are in the cyclops series made from early to mid 90s through late 90s. If you find your self with a fuel leak and no matter if you have changed the grommet's and fuel line on each side of the fuel tank on the bottom and fuel line under back of fender, you still have a gas leak. Pull your seat off with the frame that bolts to top of slider rails and check this. This is the low fuel level sensor in top of tank under the seat.. mine was literally sitting half in the tank and half out of tank where the seal was so dry rotted it wouldn't hold it in place anymore. You might want to press it back in the hole and then blow all the junk out from around it before replacing it. You just need the grommet not the whole sensor. I just bought 2, 1 to have as a spare for my other 2 cyclops if needed. If need 1 of these grommet's, I can get more in takes couple day's to arrive, but they are $10 each and just slide on the top part of the sensor like a sleeve then push back into hole in tank. I'm going to see how hard it is to install without anything on the grommet and if needed I'll use some 2 cycle oil to get it into the fuel tank so it will slide in and not tear up the grommet. The oil won't hurt anything and will also still allow it to stay in place once it dry's.

Ok I have a request from my followers. I'm in need of a nose\ grill assembly and side panels for a cub cadet 1440, 1641, 1541 and similar model take same front grille\ headlight assembly. Not looking to get 1 shipped as I want to see the condition and check for break's in the plastic. Would like to stay within an hour 1 way from 46036, but if find a good enough deal I'll drive further. Prefer the style with the automotive style driving light bulbs and not the sealed beams style front, but if I can find the sealed beams style at a good price then I'll consider it. Plz contact me by phone call's only and only between 10am-8pm 7️⃣6️⃣5️⃣5️⃣5️⃣1️⃣4️⃣4️⃣4️⃣🎱

Sorry not been on much again, been neck deep in getting parts ordered and dealing with companies that aren't shipping parts out on time for the 1440 Cyclops cub to fix the engine. Had 1 company not ship out a set of head's for it within 24hr of the order and even gave them another 24hr on top of that before sending them an email to only not get a response. So had to fight with them over false advertisement ( which they didn't like that I called them out on it ). Then another company sent me junk \ damaged valve cover gaskets so had to fight with them over that after they arrived 3 days late. While waiting on the parts to arrive for that, I bought another cyclops cub but this is an 1864 with power steering and have been working for going on a month to get the gremlins out of it. First was an electrical issue where it wouldn't start off the key and previous owner rigged a push button to work the starter solenoid. Finally after week and half of fighting with that and fixing the wiring on ignition switch, I went to use it and found that I had a gas leak coming from the fuel tank grommets that the fuel shut off valve's go through into the tank, they was dry rotted. I was able to fix 1 of the 2 same day as I had the same grommet this take's from a simplicity rider I done a few yrs ago . So I ordered more for spare to have in stock if needed them again. If anyone need's 1 of these, I'll sell them for $2 each picked up. I don't know part number's off top of my head but these will fit multiple brands and rider's from simplicity Broadmoor and landlord to ih wide frame cubs with the plastic tank and the Cyclops model's from early through mid 90's like the 1440, 1541, 1641 and many other's.

If you would like the fluid changed In any of the hydrostatic drive Cub's from the ih models through the cyclops models like the 1440,1540,1641,1862,1863,1864 and so on price is $50 if you provide the fluid, filter and gasket if want a gasket used instead of rtv gasket maker, or rtv ultra black if don't have a preference. Also will need to buy 2 can's of brake clean as I spray out the inside of the rear housing to get any junk out to keep the new fluid clean longer. If I buy the supplies it will be lot more as the fluid alone that I use, runs around $70 a gallon as of right now and it is what was recommended by the ih dealer. If want this done through the week, it will take me about 2 days to get done as I'll be doing the work after my day job And I take time to allow the old fluid to drain out from places like the axle tubes, then clean the housing out as well as the rear cover. Newer cubs, some do not have a place to change fluid or filter and are sealed, especially if just a regular riding mower with either 18 or 20 inch rear tire's. Give me a call and leave a message with your Rider information and I'll price the part's and see what fluid it take's and give you a call back with the price for everything.

Just a little maintenance on the 1864 cub I just bought yesterday. It didn't sound right when you turn and moving, like it was low on transmission\ hydraulic oil. Don't know if it was as I didn't measure what drained out as it smelled nasty and looked burnt, as well as there was some gunk in the bottom of the rear end housing. This thing is to temporarily take the place of the 1440 cyclops cub that's down with engine issue's till I can get the part's in to fix it. Had 2 new heads for this and the 1641 cub I've had in back of my barn for yrs, but the company I ordered from was not going by their shipping information of usually within 1 business day. So I sent them an email on Wed, no response by yesterday almost same time so I sent another demanding information on my order since it has been since Monday morning early when the order was placed. They said they would try to get them into shipping today. Told them try wasn't good enough since it was already late shipping to begin with and this was a local ( only about hour away ) company. Let's just say they didn't appreciate me and cancelled my order, which is fine as they have been reported for their action's and more will be done over next few days to make sure this company doesn't do this to someone again! But this 1864 is getting all transmission \ hydraulic oil changed, it will be getting fresh oil and filter for engine and transmission as well as air filter and spark plugs. Previous owner installed a push button to start it with due to ignition issue, so I've ordered a new ignition switch that's due in tomorrow and will get installed. Then I'll be removing the dumb push button to start it with. I'll also be looking into an issue where you have to be on the seat or have the brake pedal depressed to have spark. By time winter arrive's, this will have all 4 new tire's and be set up like the other garden tractor's with the ATV tires on back and what looks like Carlisle xtrac on the front for maximum traction, since this in winter will be running a 46 inch 2 stage blower. I've also set back a OEM ih cub single stage blower for the 1440 that it should have no trouble running. These cubs are just as good as the old ih version's in my book and as with this model, it weights in at almost 1000lb without the deck. By time I change tire's and liquid fill the back tire's and possibly add wheel weights it will be over 1000lb.
