MGA Update. The 1400 fits, and in front mid-engine position! A few cuts and some minor frame adjustments but it looks like it was made for this car. Now to make some motor mounts to hold this Kawasaki in place and reinforce the frame cuts.

These were the in process photos rolling the segmented panel edge. As you can see a small strip of aluminum is bonded to the rear to give a straight edge to peen over on and prevent the aluminum from folding too hard to the point that it cracks. After peening the edge most of the way over it was crimped flat and then finished with a shrinking hammer and dolly.

A small update on the MGA. I’m waiting for some material for the roll hoop so I started a small project on the body of segmenting the trunk lid. I did get the cut and some prep work today. I’ll add another update tomorrow when I start the finishing work.

Finishing paint on a project for my Dad’s antique business today. This is a 1920s Wayne Visible gas pump. Unlike most it’s nearly all original. The only new parts are the glass and the signage. It will be for sale shortly. If you’re interested let me know. It has a Texaco globe.
