So...EVs are having a little pullback here in the USA, at least partially due to the cancellation of of the federal tax rebate. But, surprisingly, it shouldn't be due to electricity costs.
The USA ranks 55th in the world for the expense of electricity. Yep, 55th...🇺🇸 USA = 0.186 USD/kWh.
Norway, which boasts that more than 97% of all new passenger car sales in the country are EVs, is even lower at 0.162.

Are you familiar with Mr. Tazio Giorgio Nuvolari? If not, do yourself a favor and read a bit about him (at least review the Wiki page on him). He was a very successful race car drive in the 1930s. Winning 150 races, 72 of them major racing events. Including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Monaco Grand Prix, the Mille Miglia, and the Targa Florio. In fact, he drove for a team run by some guy named Enzo Ferrari (in an Alfa Romeo by the way).
He also drove an Auto Union to victory for a company that would eventually become Audi.
Well, after you catch up on his history, take a look at the new Supercar that Audi just released in tribute.
The Audi Nuvolari, a 980+ horsepower supercar.

The outlier...always do your research when you see an average price for a vehicle. There will always be outliers, especially in the classic car industry.
At the Scottsdale Barrett-Jackson auction earlier this year, one bidder bought a 1966 Lincoln Continental convertible for $1,000,000...yes...one million dollars.
Stranges thing about this one for me is that it carries a salvaged title. I would think that someone could have bought a very nice stock 1966 Continental and spent less than $900,000 on the restoration to get it exactly as they wanted it. Would you spend over a million dollars restoring a 1965 Buick Riviera RS? Well, a restoration is not quite exactly what happened but one owner spent that much creating an one of a kind restomod out of a 1965 Riviera.
Tons of handmade, custom parts to make it look similar to the original but has a LSX Black Label V-8 with over 700 HP hidden under the hood (made to look like the original nail head), complete custom Detroit Speed frame, suspension, etc. Look closely, you'll see all the subtle changes that make it special.
It went across the block at Mecum Auctions in January of 2026 and the top bid was $350,000. Not surprisingly, it didn't meet the reserve.
