Commercial vehicles typically go through a little bit more than just regular wear and tear, as showcased by the F150 that drove in today. Yes, we said DROVE IN!! Upon inspection, we found a strut that had completely snapped. The customer decided to go ahead and replace both front struts since the other one didn't look much better than the broken one. Although it can go longer depending on how the vehicle is driven, suspension components should be checked and replaced roughly every 60,000 miles. Talk about blow out! Thankfully, the driver was safe but this rim most certainly isn't! Upon arrival, the driver told us it wouldn't hold air, and this is what we found. Unfortunately in this case, even the best welder couldn't repair this, but we can call our parts suppliers and order new rims. In cases where the damage isn't severe, we can also send them out to be repaired. Stop in Monday through Saturday and we can take a look or give us as a call (570)588-7617!

Over time, rims can begin to collect a bunch of corrosion, and because of that, they may start to leak air around the edge of the rim. One step in our process of mounting tires is cleaning up any corrosion so that there is a clean seal between the rim and the tire. Driving on a tire that is low on air can cause damage and lessen the integrity of the tire. We care about the safety of you and your family! Have a slow leak?
