CFD {Creative Food Drive}

CFD {Creative Food Drive} Saturday, October 10, 2013, 2:30pm-6:30pm @ Durham Central Park, Durham, NC All food is donated to Housing for New Hope.

C.F.D {Creative Food Drive} is a community charity event/competition hosted by MHAworks Architecture where local businesses, schools and organizations put their creativity to the test by designing and constructing any sculpture they can imagine out of non-perishable food items, all while enjoying live music, local beer, food trucks and a kid's zone. Date: 3-7 pm, October 19, 2013

On behalf of MHAworks, we can’t thank the teams, volunteers, judges, sponsors, bands, emcee, vendors, community members and Durham Central Park, enough for making C.F.D. all that and and bag of beans.

This year’s grand total of donations from the teams and community members came to OVER 10 TONS to benefit Housing for New Hope! What an amazing turn out!

Our team’s designs were fantastic this year – congratulations on your hard work!

A special thanks goes out to the City of Durham’s Honorable Mayor Bill Bell, Michael Hining, President of MHAworks, Sherry DeVries of the Durham Arts Council, Tisha Powell of ABC 11, and Geoff Durham, President of DDI, for volunteering their time to benefit a great cause. We also want to show our appreciation to our food trucks, Carolina Brewery, Steph Stewart and the Boyfriends, Dark Water Rising, and Outside Soul. Your presence at Creative Food Drive helped make it a memorable event.
