McQueen wraps up King of the Crossroads weekend with top five finish
This past weekend, Shannon McQueen loaded up her McQueen Racing Stanton powered Bullet by Spike #7 and headed north to Belleville, Kansas to compete with the Rocky Mountain Midget Racing Association. On Saturday night, Shannon earned the hard charged award with her 13th to 7th place run in the A-main event after struggling early in the night.
With a solid run Saturday, she and crew chief Ty Hindman went to work getting the car turned around for night two on Sunday. In heat race action, Shannon drove from 4th to 2nd putting her comfortably in the A-main redraw. Pulling the 4 card from the deck, Shannon lined up 4th in Sunday’s 25-lap main. In a tight battle between 5th and 2nd most of the event, Shannon ended her night with a great 5th place finish.
Up next for McQueen Racing is a trip back to I-44 Riverside Speedway in Oklahoma City this Saturday, July 9th with the Lucas Oil POWRi West Midget League. Be sure to follow Facebook for continued updates all season long.
