Great show at Little Yeldham today. 110 miles round trip (more miles than I've done some years in the Cossie!). Thanks to Daren for organising and to Nathan Priest for the invite. Great to catch up with Geoff Fox, Allen Patch, Barry Wales and Piers Daye too.

Back from two action packed days at Super Trowel 2026 with Ford UK and Weinerberger UK representing Ford Security on the TVL Security stand. Great event and had the pleasure to bump into none other than Mr Transit himself, Peter Lee of the Transit Owners Club

Last night's haul of goodies for our KITT project car back in the UK. Air filter (it's a Wix) IYKYK , decent hood release cable as the ones from the jungle website are junk (I bought two as the first didn't fit - neither did the second), oil pan drain plug, transmission pan drain plug and complete O ring kit for the AC system plus some fridge magnets from RockAuto.com. All hand delivered last night on Woodward Avenue in Detroit by my buddy Doug Smith. Doug also gave me some goodies from last year's Woodward cruise. He's a legend.

At Duggan's Irish Pub on Woodward Avenue. Should see some cool older cars later.

Vacationing in Ireland for 2 weeks and visited Cong today. This is where John Ford filmed the John Wayne film "The Quiet Man" in 1952. Fixing the signage one banner at a time... also my hands are bigger than Big Tom's.... so changed that too! LOL

Ireland bound. 300 miles to the ferry port at Pembroke dock in South Wales. 2 small charge stops (dinner and then a loo break). 73% charge remaining. Doing about 3.8 miles /kWh at motorway speeds with the air-conditioning working hard against the heat tonight. Still 24 deg C at quarter to one in the morning.

Trial fit of the home made kick panel speaker pod on the passenger side tonight.

Hooked up the little 8 inch Vibe subwoofer in a cheap £30 ported box from Amazon just to test it out. Lashed in temporarily with 2 x 2.5mm sq cables each through a 15A fuse as I am out of 8 gauge wire and audio fuses. Wow! It has dual 2 Ohm voice coils so I wired them in parallel to get 1 Ohm impedance overall.

My little Vibe monobloc Class D subwoofer amplifier is 1 Ohm stable. Man, that little thing kicks. Fits in the trunk well with my leisure battery.

The little Amazon box needs some work as the pressure inside the box blew the speaker connection panel out of the hole - was only a press fit. Wrapped cloth tape around it and pushed it back in for now. Box will be trimmed tan eventually. Currently has carbon look plastic sticky film on and looks terrible.

Will make an amplifier rack over the coming week or so and tidy everything away neatly once the 8 gauge kit arrives.

More progress. Still a ton to do. I hate messy wiring, but needed to hear this before committing to the install.

The system works so well with the JBL 6x9s and 5 1/4s.

This is what the turbine sound fx generator is like from outside.

Quick test of the front zonal amplifier (4x65W RMS Class D Vibe 65.4). External speakers this time (these will play the scanner whoosh sound, KITT's voice and the turbine sound effects eventually)
