Is the Tesla Model S the safest car in America? After all it does have 5 star safety ratings in all categories.
Our production team members here at Nice Drives are all huge fans of www.telsamotors.com. Maybe we are prejudece because we got to test drive at a recent event and enjoyed every minute behind the wheel!
At any rate, hear us out for a New York minute.

We are bummed that the media has blown this out of proportion. Tesla is a awesome car company and worked very hard to create a great product from the ground up. In May they made the last payment for a $451 billion dollar loan to the Department of Energy. Tesla will be the only American car company to have fully repaid the government. Congratulations Tesla from Nice Drives! Everyone should payback loans in full...that is just the right thing and keeps business moving forward and America on track.

Here is a comment from recent general email from CEO Elon Musk about the recent new coverage.
"However, the three Model S fires, which only occurred after very high-speed collisions and caused no serious injuries or deaths, received more national headlines than all 250,000+ gasoline fires combined. The media coverage of Model S fires vs. gasoline car fires is disproportionate by several orders of magnitude, despite the latter actually being far more deadly."

Hopefully these media reports don't hurt Tesla and they can continue to do what they do with such passion.
