We’re officially set up and ready for a great week at the Grand Design Fall Rally in Kerrville, Texas!

It’s always exciting to pull into a rally, get the service truck set up, and prepare for a busy week of taking care of fellow RVers.

We’re incredibly thankful that Grand Design RV continues to invite Countryside RVing to be part of these events. Having a manufacturer trust us to service their customers is something we don’t take lightly, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to represent our business and do what we love.

One of the best parts of these rallies is getting to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new customers, and help everyone enjoy their RV adventures with a little less worry.

If you’re attending the rally this week, come find us and say hello! Whether you have an RV issue that needs attention or just want to stop by and chat, we’d love to see you.

Your RV roof is easy to forget about—until water starts showing up inside.

We wrapped up this roof reseal, giving the areas around the vents, skylight, and roof seams some much-needed attention. Swipe through to see the before and after.

A roof can look fine from the ground while the sealant tells a different story. Checking for cracks, gaps, and sealant pulling away helps catch trouble before it turns into an expensive repair.

Not sure how your roof is holding up? Give us a call to schedule a roof inspection or reseal. We come to you!

A roof patch might look sealed from the outside, but that doesn’t mean it was repaired correctly.

On this RV, I found a previous repair over a hole in the roof membrane that wasn’t done properly. Instead of simply covering it with more sealant, I removed the old repair and corrected the damaged area the right way.

In this reel, I’ll show you the difference between an improper roof patch and how I repair it to help create a proper, long-lasting seal.

Small roof damage can become a much bigger problem once water finds its way underneath the membrane. That’s why the way the repair is made matters just as much as sealing the hole itself.

Have a questionable patch or damaged area on your RV roof? Give us a call and let’s get it taken care of before it turns into a bigger repair.

This A/C needed a little more than a basic service.

When we started digging into this unit, we found multiple problems. The fan motor was completely seized, the control box wasn’t transferring power, and the coils were so clogged with dirt and debris that airflow was severely restricted.

At that point, it was time to tear it down and rebuild it.

We replaced the failed fan motor, replaced the control box, and thoroughly cleaned the coils to get proper airflow back through the system.

This is also a great example of why we recommend having your RV A/Cs cleaned and serviced annually. You may not see what’s building up underneath that shroud, but your A/C definitely feels it.

Not every failed A/C needs to be thrown away and replaced. Sometimes a proper diagnosis and repair can get an older unit back up and running.

If your A/C isn’t cooling like it used to, is making unusual noises, or hasn’t been serviced in a while, give us a call and let’s get it checked out before the Texas heat puts it to the test.

We absolutely LOVE moments like this! 🇺🇸

Getting to participate in the Wise County 250th Celebration Parade was already pretty special, but seeing our customers along the parade route waving, smiling, and cheering us on made it even better.

We’re incredibly blessed to call Wise County home and even more blessed that so many people right here in our community trust us to take care of their RVs.

When you run a small local business, your customers become a lot more than names on a schedule. They’re the people you run into around town, the familiar faces waving from the sidewalk, and the reason we get to keep doing what we love every day.

Thank you, Wise County, for continuing to support Countryside RVing. We’re proud to serve the community we call home! 🇺🇸🚐

Need RV service, maintenance, or an inspection? Give us a call — we come to you!

9/11/01 — a day I will never forget.

I was walking the halls of 9th grade. I didn’t fully understand what was happening. All I knew was that we were watching the news in every class.

It wasn’t until I was sitting in 7th-period English class that it really sank in — our nation had been attacked.

I remember making a decision that day. Somehow, some way, I was going to serve my country. I didn’t know exactly what that would look like yet, but by my sophomore year, I knew it would be in the United States Coast Guard.

Twenty-one years later, I completed that goal.

I will never forget September 11, 2001. I will never forget the lives that were lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, or the patriotism that followed. In the days after 9/11, we came together as Americans in a way that has stayed with me ever since.

Today, we remember the fallen. We honor the heroes. We never forget. 🇺🇸

Sometimes a pretty small part can cause a pretty big problem.

This is the stop can on an electric through-frame slide system.

Take a look at the first photo. That stop can has taken a beating and is noticeably dented and deformed. The stop can is part of what limits the slide’s travel, so when it gets damaged like this, it can affect how the slide stops and put unnecessary stress on the slide mechanism.

The second photo shows the new stop can installed and ready to be properly adjusted.

Slide systems have a lot of moving parts working together, and something that looks insignificant underneath the RV can make a big difference in how that entire room operates.

If your slide has started stopping differently, making unusual noises, struggling to move, or just doesn’t seem to be operating like it used to, don’t wait until it quits completely. Give us a call and let’s get it checked out.

Your RV refrigerator is supposed to keep your food cold… not try to move downstairs. 😂

This customer noticed their refrigerator had shifted and something definitely wasn’t right.

Once we started looking into it, we found the problem—the bottom of the refrigerator cabinet had failed, allowing the refrigerator to literally fall through the cabinet.

With a refrigerator this large and heavy, simply pushing it back into place and adding a few screws wasn’t going to fix the underlying problem.

We removed the refrigerator, tore into the cabinet, rebuilt and reinforced the platform underneath, and then reinstalled the refrigerator where it belonged.

👉 Swipe through the photos to see where we started, what we found after removing the refrigerator, the rebuilt platform, and the finished repair.

This is a great example of why you shouldn’t ignore something in your RV that suddenly shifts, develops a gap, starts sitting crooked, or just doesn’t look like it used to. What appears to be a cosmetic issue can sometimes be a sign that something underneath has actually failed.

Sometimes RV repair means fixing the refrigerator.

Other times it means rebuilding the house underneath the refrigerator. 😂

Noticed something shifting, sagging, or just not looking right in your RV? Give us a call and let’s get it checked out before a small problem becomes a much bigger repair.
