Slipshod Resto's is my one-stop hot rod shop. It started as a fun idea, but it's evolved into handling some pretty nice projects over the years.

I'll share some photos of the cars here. Enjoy!!!

-Matt Faulkner It was the year 2005. At that time, I had built about 200 Shelby Cobra replicas, a few VW's, and worked on a handful of other cars, but I had never given much thought to having my own shop. More and more though, people saw the work I had done on my own cars and started to ask me if I'd work on theirs. To me, that seemed like a fun

way to make some extra money, and my shop was born. Dave Gilchrist of Vintage German Motors came up with the name Slipshod Resto's. I think it's pretty funny actually. I know it's odd to think a shop that builds show cars would ever refer to itself as Slipshod, but the name stuck, and it's staying. I hope my work speaks for itself, regardless of the name. I never have had a clear long-term plan for the business. It's been everything from a side project to a full-time job over the past few years. I'm not sure how big or small it may be in the future, but I guess that keeps it fun. I still love building and restoring cars though, so we'll just have to see where it goes from here.

Hotshot rookie driver Thomas Engstrom in the shop today passing out donuts and signing autographs. Thomas has one start and one win racing quarter midgets after winning the NCQMA Championship Race #11 last weekend. He’ll look to extend his perfect record this Saturday🏁

Just finished wrapping Elliott’s helmet for the Victory Lane Karting 2023 Spring Youth League. We had some great times together discussing concepts, cutting graphics, and vinyl wrapping. Also special thanks and design inspiration to Daniel Ricciardo.

DNQ Karting Series race 1 results are in with Craig J Smith leading the Slipshod Resto's squad with a 6th place finish. Raymond Theiss came home 9th and Jay Czarapata in 15th. Great having all our karts solidly in the top 20 💪 We’ll return to Millbridge Speedway on 4/26 for round 2.
