Went out today to pay respects to the men and women of Travis County sheriff's office for the loss of one of their brothers.
I must say it was an awesome visit under the worst of circumstances. Met some of the men and women that represent the T.C.S.O. To include the Sheriff herself. I want the T. C.S.O .
to know their brother may be gone but he IS NOT FORGOTTEN .

PTSD is *ucking real. It will tare you up, and eat you alive.
Some who seek help...
It never let's go of them. In the end PTSD wins.
It is a battle and a *itch to live with. It doesn't care if your the strongest person in the world, or the weakest. It tries its hardest to win.
Sometimes it is not easy to live with someone who has this demon within them.
You wake up to them crying in their sleep
You lay there wondering do I rub their arm,
Do I wake them up, and risk getting punched in the face? As you try to decide, you are still watching as they twitch, cry, jump. You decide getting punched in the middle of the night is not welcome. Then you see them fall straight out of bed trying to run from the demons.
You drive down a road, and something annoys the hell out of them... they start yelling at you.
You need to be stronger then them.. you need to understand it's not you. Yes, it really takes a toll on everyone around them. Are you strong enough? Are you stronger then their demons?
Below are some signs of PTSD. As you read you will realize most of them are not visible.
Nightmares
Guilt
Flashbacks
Stress
Rage
Lack of feelings
Hypervigilance
Depression
Ulcers
Physical pain
Communication problems.
That's just a few. Try living with that daily!
People live in silence, never say anything at.
Their friends cant see it, so why say anything?
If you have PTSD reach out. You dont need to be ashamed, or think your weak. It's the strong who ask for help.
