🚨 Unified Reel Engagement is Here 🚨

This is a Car Dorx guide on the BEST way to publish video content on Meta properties moving forward.

IF you use this method to publish your reel content, you will

✅ Publish reels to both Facebook and Instagram from ONE app
✅ Minimize video compression, delivering higher quality video
✅ UNIFY your engagement across platforms, combine your Facebook AND Instagram likes/comments on your reel content!

Social is a rapidly evolving landscape that has pushed FURTHER and further into vertical video optimization. Meta has taken many steps the past 2 years to enhance and support reel content. Meta announced June of 2025 that ALL Facebook videos will become reels, and as of recently you can not even publish a video on Facebook without it being a vertically formatted reel.

Some benefits to this has been unifying the format in which to produce content (always shoot vertical) and NOW there is an additional benefit which is unifying your ENGAGEMENT (likes/comments) across BOTH Instagram and Facebook, but ONLY if you publish this specific way!

At Car Dorx this ENHANCES our promotion efforts as well, as we preach the value of social proof with content but in the past have only been able to choose either the Facebook post or the Instagram post for promotion. With this method, your engagement from paid will show on BOTH platforms!

The method: Publishing reels to both platforms inside of the Instagram app

1. Link your business's page and Instagram in Meta's account center

2 Create a reel in the native Instagram app and upload your vertical video

3. Toggle "Facebook Sharing"

4. Select share type and choose "all future reels"

5. Publish your reel

While publishing via Meta Business Suite has been what we've suggest in prior years, it does not have the engagement unification effect at this time. Additionally we've had issues in the past with video compression, lowering video quality on Instagram when published from MBS. This method solves all of these problems while continuing the ease of publishing from one application.
