Two more ECUs have received our proprietary hard shift repair service. One is from an IS350 and the other is from an LS430. We're starting to see more and more of these. A lot of the time, these cars have been driven with these gearbox issues for far too long, and we are now starting to see physical damage to these vehicles' drivelines. Yes, we are starting to see valve body issues and damaged clutch packs as well as burnt-up lock-up converters. If your Lexus IS250/350 or LS430/460 is having issues with shifting, contact us immediately and save yourself a lot of money on a transmission swap. We are here to help!

There's more to building ECUs than just buying some caps and a cheap tub of flux paste and let's not forget that $25 Amazon iron! Building ECUs is more of an art form mixed with engineering and finesse. Automotive electronics are delicate items that must be handled with care and not treated like fish heads in a bucket. In these images, we see poor solder work, poor pe*******on, and bad joints. We also see uncut leads. This is a complete fire waiting to happen, and yes, this was an ECU from a "well-known" shop! In one of the other images, we see damaged solder pads, which are the pads that the components solder to. Without the pad being fully intact, you lose significant structural integrity of both the solder joint and the contact point for that correlating circuit. As much as people like to state this style of work is a DIY job, it simply isn't! Let a professional handle the job unless you understand and have the skills to do the job without a shadow of a doubt and have experience working on similar things.
