The rebuild has started. Barrier coat complete. Gaff and boom sanded and the dry rot repaired. Rust eaten parts of trailer supports repaired and rollers replaced. New gallows pole support blocks are glued up and ready for mounting. Sail inspected and stiched up.

The work required to complete the rebuild seems endless, but she will be gorgeous..

Imagine gliding across the calm waters of Lake Lewisville, the wind filling the sails, and the North Dallas skyline fading into the horizon. That experience just got better with the recent arrival of a traditional "Cat rigged" sailboat. Catboats offer enthusiasts and newcomers alike enhanced safety, comfort, and performance on the water. Minimum heeling with a catboat.

This is a gaff rigged single sail vessel that can accomodate six passengers. Her name is Mystic Wind.

Mystic Wind is currently getting a complete rebuild and will be available late summer or early fall. She spent the last fifty years sailing the Florida keys and on the Chesepeke Bay. The pics are from her glory days.
