FUN FACT FRIDAY TODAY IS FOR THE 1999 SVT LIGHTNING!!

🔥 360 horsepower from a supercharged 5.4L Triton V8.
* 🏁 0–60 mph in about 5.8 seconds in Car and Driver’s test — extremely serious performance for a pickup in 1999.
* 🏎️ Quarter mile: 14.4 seconds @ 97 mph in Car and Driver’s testing.
* 🚀 Top speed was around 139–140 mph.

⚡️The 1999 was the comeback year. Ford brought the Lightning name back after the original-generation truck ended in 1995.

* 🏭 Only 4,000 were produced for 1999. That’s the first year of the second-gen Lightning and one of the smaller production runs of the generation.
