⚠️ If your work-truck equipment still operates, should you leave it alone until something breaks?
Waiting for a complete failure can turn a manageable service visit into expensive downtime, emergency repairs, or a serious safety problem.
Preventive maintenance can help identify:
✅ Loose mounting hardware or cracked welds
✅ Hydraulic leaks and damaged hoses
✅ Corroded wiring or weak electrical connections
✅ Worn hinges, latches, pins, and bushings
✅ Frayed cables or damaged lifting components
✅ Failing lights, switches, and safety equipment
✅ Rust and corrosion spreading beneath the surface
✅ Unusual movement, vibration, or operating noises
Liftgates, cranes, service bodies, flatbeds, trailers, lighting, and other work-truck equipment should be inspected according to manufacturer recommendations and how heavily the equipment is used.
Heavy daily use, harsh weather, rough roads, and jobsite conditions may require more frequent attention.
Preventive service doesn’t guarantee that equipment will never fail—but it can help catch warning signs before they interrupt your workday.
Longhorn Upfitters can inspect your equipment, identify areas needing attention, and recommend the appropriate repair or maintenance.
