He would like to know the history of how it started. It started because there wasn’t anything at fun days anymore for adults. I remember the old wood splitting contest when I was a kid. Also the stories of the keg carrying contests. If anyone has pictures from those events or even good stories I would love to share them with him as well.

Thanks,
Matt

We have been contacted by a filmmaker to do a story on the Soapbox race. He wants to interview competitors. We may also need some carts pulled out of rafters in February for this. Also any race video that is out there would be greatly appreciated. Stay tuned for instructions on where to send videos and when to be present for shooting. Sounds like he may be building a cart to compete this year as well.

The fire dept air compressor died. We will not have one at starting line. If somebody wants to bring one in that would be great. There will be power.

The forecast appears to be looking a little better for racing. As of now we are going to bust our butts to make it happen! Get those carts out of the shed and spray some WD-40 on them!

We are watching the weather closely…..as of now the weatherman is saying Saturday will be wet. We all know how accurate that can be though. We will try to get our decisions out quickly. Fingers crossed.

6 days and we will be racing!!!!

Over the years we have all noticed that lane 1, the west lane is faster. For years we have given lane choice to the faster qualifier. We have some ideas and are opening it up to discussion here for some more ideas on how to level the playing field. Ultimately we will have something to decide at the driver’s meeting. GO……….

Late notice as usual. 😂. Aug 16th, 2025 we will be racing!
