I am proud to announce that on Veterans Day, November 11, the city of Independence will be making a wonderful dedication to William Wade, a soldier who made the ultimate sacrifice during Vietnam.

The mayor will be dedicating the street he grew up on to him, as well as making his birthday Dec 28, as honorary holiday in the city.

Bill earned 2 purple hearts while serving our country. What a hero!
