Upcoming NEW TN Driver License/ID

Beginning today, Tennessee is issuing new Driver Licenses and ID cards with a fresh design and improved security features at select Driver Services Centers and will expand to all centers over the next few months. All current credentials are valid until their expiration date. Today marks my 31st ANNIVERSARY with the Tipton County Clerk’s office!
FUN FACT….I issued and handed out the first TN duplicate title back in the early 90’s! We were only 1 of 10 counties authorized to issue titles in the state!
Throughout the years, our office has implemented new technologies to help better serve our customers! I’m truly grateful to serve as your County Clerk!

BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT TITLES!!
Do your research before you become a VICTIM!!

If you are purchasing a vehicle on FB Marketplace, Craigslist, etc. make sure of the following:
* TITLE on secured watermark paper
* VIN on title matches the vehicle
* NO LIEN on title or has been discharged
* OWNER on front of title is the seller and ask to see their driver’s license
* Run a CARFAX to see where vehicle was titled last

SCAMMERS are stating they bought from AUCTION and are manufacturing fraudulent titles! Have the seller send you a copy of the front and back of the title and a picture of the VIN before you meet them!
