“New Life in Christ”

“The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬ ‭
Years ago when I was doing everything wrong, I remember riding by an old man holding up a sign that said Jesus Loves you, John 3:16. Immediately I thought to myself, He doesn’t Love me. That night I laid in bed thinking about that sign and wondering how I could get so far away from Him. The Bible says; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭
Years later, as I sat at my first Bible study, those same 25 words that I saw on that sign saved my life. We all make wrong choices, but today it’s not to late to make the right one that will save your life. Jesus Loves you right where you are, turn to His Loving arms today, before it is to late…“Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.”

Sept 6
“But With G-d”

“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭
It’s easy for us to say we trust G-d with all our hearts when everything is good, but what about when the rubber hits the road and life gets real. The Bible says; ““You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭17‬:‭20‬
Read that Scripture again real slow and let every word from Jesus sink in. What’s it going to take for us to have the faith He’s talking about? A good start is believing in the impossible without seeing it first…“My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth!”

“Trust your Life to the LORD”

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬ ‭
With everything I’ve gone through, going through and the things to come I thank the Lord every morning and Trust the plan He has for my life. I’ve learned to Trust every step I take to the LORD my G-d, and I am so grateful for Him today. The Bible says; “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭
Today I turn 68 years old and I have no idea where this day, or any other day after this will lead me but I know and love the One who does. For me Trusting the LORD isn’t an option it’s my life, and I wouldn’t have it any other way…“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.”

“A Changed Heart”

“Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭
Only G-d can give us these holy qualities. We can talk about them and help each other with them, but the changed heart and behavior can only come from a close relationship with G-d through His Word. It’s not about hiding our bad habits it’s letting G-d change them for the good works He has for us. The Bible says; “Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭10‬ ‭
“Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭2‬ ‭
Our goal is to have the same attitude that Jesus had in every situation, no matter what it looks like to us. How we respond matters. This isn’t a learned behavior but a changed heart that can only come from G-d…“For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.””
