" CHANDLER, Ariz. - A tow truck driver died following a fiery crash on the Loop 101 early Thursday morning.
What we know:
The crash happened at around 3 a.m. on June 4 in the southbound lanes of the freeway near Ray Road.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the tow truck hit an attenuator before hitting a barrier wall. The truck then caught fire. The driver of the tow truck was taken to a hospital where he later died.
The crash blocked two lanes at Ray Road. All lanes have since been reopened.
What we don't know:
The tow truck driver wasn't identified. "

" DELAWARE, Ohio (WCMH) — A tow truck cable stretched across a Delaware County road is believed to be the root cause of a crash that caused serious injuries Tuesday night.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers are investigating a serious crash involving a commercial vehicle and sedan that occurred Tuesday night at 11:45 p.m. on U.S. Route 42. For NBC4’s top headlines view the video player above.
The crash occurred in Concord Township, southwest of Delaware, where a 2025 Freightliner commercial semi-tractor trailer was traveling southwest on U.S. 42. The truck driver pulled off the right side of the road and became stuck.
A tow-truck company was called to the scene to assist and the driver of a 2011 International Heavy Wrecker pulled off the left side of the road. The two-truck operator attached a winch cable across the roadway in an attempt to pull the semi-truck out of its position. "

" JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One arrest has been made in connection with the repossession of a vehicle that occurred before the shooting death of a tow truck driver at a Brentwood apartment complex.
Rockelle Jones, 37, was arrested on May 27 and charged with burglary after a dispute led to the shooting death of Oliver Lopez, according to court documents.
According to the arrest report obtained by News4JAX, Lopez, a tow truck driver, was at the Sanctuary Walk apartment complex on East 21st Street on May 26 to repossess Jones’ Jeep Compass. "

In August of last year, police were called to the University Village at Slippery Rock Apartments for 22-year-old Joshua Campbell, who allegedly assaulted a truck driver that was towing his car.
Later that day, Campbell was seen by police before he fled on foot.
He faced several charges and pled guilty to recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to 18 months of probation. "

Deputies said Michael Romanowski, 45, of M.D. Auto on Oriskany Street West in Utica, was hired to work on a 2019 Dodge Ram in January, which was owned by Pratt & Whitney on Main Street in Clayville. By February, authorities said the work was not complete and the company got its truck back. "

According to investigators with the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened just past Vista Point along Highway 74 and stretched into the Ribbonwood area.

" The city of Billings agreed to pay $165,000 to Anderson Towing after a year-long lawsuit over the removal of the towing company from a local dispatch list.
The lawsuit also led to Anderson Towing being put back on the list of tow truck drivers the city relies on. The Billings Police Department wanted the towing company to be permanently suspended because of repeated complaints about price gouging.
