Today is National Slow Down, Move Over Day! 💛🖤

Every day, tow truck operators, roadside assistance providers, first responders, and other roadside workers put their lives at risk just by doing their jobs.

We’re often working just feet away from moving traffic, helping stranded motorists get safely back on the road. When we're changing a tire, jump-starting a vehicle (which yes, we have done on the side of the highway!), or delivering fuel, our safety depends on the drivers passing by.

🚗 See flashing lights? MOVE OVER.
⚠️ Can't move over safely? SLOW DOWN.
❤️ Give roadside workers the space they need to make it home to their families.

A few extra seconds of caution could save someone's life.

We're out here helping people get home safely. Please help make sure we get home safely, too!

We accepted a call for a lockout this evening on a vehicle that doesn’t have trim around the windows. The window sits pretty far underneath the roof of the car when the door is closed, so we weren’t sure we’d be able to get it unlocked without damaging the window or weather stripping.

After working with it for a while, RJ was just about ready to call it quits and walk away rather than risk damaging the customer’s vehicle. Instead, he stepped back for a minute, collected his thoughts, and decided to give it another try....And he got it! 🙌

Sometimes the difference between “this just isn’t happening” and getting the job done is knowing when to stop fighting with it, reset, and try a different approach. We’d MUCH rather take a little extra time, or even walk away from a job completely, than cause damage trying to force something that just isn’t working.

Tonight, a little patience paid off. Another customer back in their car and another lockout in the books for John’s Jump & Pump. 🧡

Jessika tagged along for a couple tire changes and a battery replacement yesterday. Probably had too much fun taking pictures of RJ working in the 107 degree heat!

🔋 Did you know?

We can test your battery and let you know whether it actually needs to be replaced or if something else (starter, alternator, etc) may be preventing your vehicle from starting.

No, we're not mechanics nor do we claim to be. We also won't pressure you into buying a battery from us.😂 If it needs replaced, we CAN take care of that for you, but we’re also happy to jump start your vehicle and tell you to head straight to AutoZone or O’Reilly and have them replace it. Sometimes you just need to know what the problem is before you start throwing money at it!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Another happy customer!

We’re grateful for the opportunity to help when it matters most! John truly believes great service is about more than getting you back on the road. It’s about taking the time to educate, communicate, and make sure you feel safe and confident before he leaves.

Big thank you to this customer for the kind words and for trusting us with your roadside service needs. We appreciate your support!

You ever tell someone not to do something and they were already doing it anyway? That's how my day started off yesterday!

Around 7 something yesterday morning, I get a text from John, "I'm calling 911". 😳

After scaring the life out of me, I continued reading, he needed the PD come block the lane for him so he could change this tire. Thank God that's all it was!

He sends me a picture from INSIDE his truck. This customers tire blew out on the I-35E "TEXpress" road. So I tell him, "Dad DO NOT get out of your truck until they get there, and please call the customer and tell them to do the same."

He was already outside the truck, recording videos of the cars and semis flying past him. 😒

Flat tire in the express lane on I-35E... tiny shoulder, traffic flying by inches away. Better him than me, because I would have probably passed out! But this is exactly why we say don’t risk it! Stay INSIDE your vehicle and call for help!!! 🚨
