Remote work changes a lot about how we connect, but it doesn’t change the fact that relationships are still the foundation of successful working relationships.

Whether it’s a coworker you’ve never met in person or a client you only see on a Zoom call, the effort to build a real relationship still has to be intentional.

At VIVO, we intentionally set aside time to build those relationships:

- Schedule time that isn’t about work. A virtual coffee, a casual check-in, or a team lunch over video.

- Make people feel involved. Loop coworkers into conversations early. Update clients before they have to ask.

- Learn something together. Whether it’s a shared training, a workshop, or even just swapping a book recommendation.

Gen Z are revolutionizing the workplace.

Gen Z gets a lot of flack. But the narrative that they are distracted, tech-obsessed, or hard to manage misses the bigger picture. In fact, Gen Z brings serious strengths to the table.

They’re incredibly tech-savvy, good at multitasking, and their creativity within digital spaces is often exactly what makes brands feel relevant again.

They also think about work differently. Data shows Gen Z places a much higher value on flexibility, perks, and work-life balance when choosing where to work.

And it makes sense. They’ve grown up in a world where everything is competing for their attention, so they’ve learned to be intentional about where they spend their time and energy.

But here’s the part that often gets overlooked: when Gen Z does choose to invest their time somewhere, they’re all in.

They thrive in environments where they feel involved, heard, and connected to the bigger picture. Titles don’t impress them nearly as much as impact does. They want to know their work matters, and that it’s contributing to real growth and meaningful progress.

So cultivating the youngest generation in the workforce isn’t nearly as daunting as it’s made out to be.

In fact, when you lean into their strengths, you might just unlock your next big idea with your dream team Gen Z’er leading the charge.
