This is a good CLE coming up sponsored by JMLBA and the Ohio Innocence Project on: The Lawyer's Duty to Understand Human Factors in Wrongful Convictions and Other Cases!
Join the Ohio Innocence Project (OIP) and JMLBA for a CLE on December 16, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Presenters include Zach Klein (Columbus City Attorney) and Pierce Reed (Program Director for OIP). Mr. Reed will discuss humans factors that lead to wrongful convictions and will focus on the role of implicit bias and confirmation bias. Mr. Klein will talk about the application of The Lawyers Creed, Ohio Rule of Professional Conduct 3.8 and the duty of prosecutors to disclose exculpatory evidence in accordance with Brady v. Maryland, 37 U.S. 83 (1963).
