Be careful. With so many people expecting package deliveries, this time of year especially, I wanted to mention a scam/phishing attempt I received today.
I got a text saying a UPS delivery failed and needed to be rescheduled (I was not home when I got this - no one was, so the scenario seemed plausible)
All of what I was presented looked very very real (these things usually just look bad and are pretty easy to spot - and I'm paranoid when it comes to these sorts of scams)
In any case I followed the link in the text and started to fill out the reschedule request... until they asked for a birthdate... and then a small payment (by credit card). Clearly this is fake... but boy did it look real.
BE CAREFUL - these a$$-H0les are getting more and more sophisticated in their presentation every day.

Coal Mine Cruiser Classic 2024 and beyond

CMCC attendance has been dropping steadily over the last few years, our costs have gone up significantly, and there are now many Northeast events at both Rausch and AOAA.
Due to these facts, we have decided to discontinue CMCC as an “event”.

We are still planning on getting together to wheel on July 18th through the 20th 2024 and will be staying at Twin Grove for the days we are there, but there will be no shirts, no stickers, no dinner, no raffle, and it will no longer be a TLCA sanctioned event.

There will be no fee other than what Twin Grove and the wheeling venues charge, and no waivers to sign other than what’s required for the individual venues.

We deeply appreciate the support we have gotten from all the attendees, vendors, and the extraordinary work by so few who have made it a successful event for the last 24 years.

So excited for this!
We’ve worked incredibly hard to put on one of the best events on the east coast, with huge goals for our charity raffle each year. We realized one of those goals today! Please come and join us next year July 13-15, 2023 so we can keep this going!!!
