There are many types of trauma we experience. Most are emotional trauma brought by someone else. I ask myself how and why did all this negativity happen to me. I didn't ask for it. Why is it ok for these people to enter into my life and have such a negative impact and forever change some part of my life.
I want to protect my child from the Patrick's, Joseph's, Johns, Nat's, Ana's, Adriana's, Paul's and Mickey's who negatively impacted and forever changed circumstances in my life. For they did not deserve my thoughts, time spent on healing and my tears.
They say forgive and forget. It's so easy to say when those same people who negatively impacted you did not feel or share the same experience. Forgive yourself for allowing that to happen, not the person.
Anytime you stay quiet to keep the peace, you are allowing the other person to get away with their poor behavior. They get to continue to behave the same way as they always have. Our silence is only benefitting them. They never considered how it would affect you. They are selfish, judgmental and ready to accuse without hesitation to the consequences. Those same people reek the benefits of you but will not give you the opportunity you deserve. Those same people speak ill of others that do they same negative behavior as them.
I want to ask if I ever had a negative impact on you, if you have ever needed to forgive me for anything I have done to you, I want you to reach out to me and tell me. Tell me what I said or did to you that created a negative trauma in your life. I would like the opportunity to make it right. I want the opportunity to ask for forgiveness.
