Velocity Race Cars is excited to officially announce the launch of our new Super Late Model House Car Program!

In a collaborative effort between Velocity Race Cars and Skylar Marlar Racing, we will be fielding our Bullock Powdered, Velocity Chassis at a variety of Super Late Model events throughout the season. This program will play a key role in the continued development of our chassis while providing support for our Super Late Model customer base.

The Caton Industrial Painting / Superior Drywall / Webb’s Excavating Velocity Chassis will be driven by both Skylar Marlar and Josh Dietz as part of this exciting new venture.

This program would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of so many people behind the scenes. A special thank you goes out to Nicholas Byrd, Cliff Byrd, Colton Ginn, Nathan Kenemore, and Cody Smith for their countless hours and commitment. We also want to give a special thank you to the Byrd family, who put in long days and late nights to ensure everything was ready to go.

Our original plan was to debut the program during Kentucky Speedweeks, but unfortunately weather has cancelled the entire week. We’ll be keeping a close eye on the forecast and look forward to announcing our first race soon.

We’re excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to get our Velocity Chassis on track. Stay tuned for updates!

Congratulations Logan Walls on you win against a stout field of cars!

Picked up our first win in the Velocity Race Car Chassis tonight at Ponderosa Speedway KY and first win in a crate there. I hate that there was confusion going on during the race and it went the way it did. I want to thank all my crew for their help getting me where i am, and all the sponsors thats back me on this thing. If the weather holds off we will be at Thunder Mountain Speedway tomorrow!

Have you ever seen an explosion like that? What a weekend is all we can say. We didn't get the results we expected or hoped for, we got way more. We unloaded fast out of the trailer. Went for qualifying and Mike Marlar Racing went for the pole and got it (literally). There definitely was no gas in the car! The car quickly disassembled itself. Everyone said we were done for the weekend, the car was junk, and basically give up. Cody, Nicholas Byrd Racing Josh Dietz racing and myself had other plans.

We beat, bent, cut and welded the back of the car back together. Joe Gibson , Patty New Gibson Brandon, Rick Gibson,John Withrow and everyone else went to beating what was left of the body back flat. Big thanks Fast Freddie Carpenter for coming through with a welder to borrow! Within the hour we had the car almost back together and just missed Mike's heat race.

Mike made it back out that night and put us in the position to make the main show on Sat.
On Saturday we lined up 9th and he raced to 5th one short of the opportunity to advance to the next step.

We're proud of this team and what we accomplished. Nobody worked harder to try to make this happen. We learned, we grew, and we have gotten faster. These cars are well built, great driving and most importantly safe race cars that we are proud of.

Some other people who helped us get here this weekend but didnt get much credit. Eric Hinderberger and Jennifer @ Performance Engineering Racing Engines for the HP and reliability and Henry's Headers & Exhaust Systems LLC for the dyno proven high quality headers and mufflers. The list goes on and on.

We would like to congratulate the 10b of Nicholas Byrd Racing on not only picking up his first pro late model win, but also his first track championship this season in his Velocity Chassis! Great job Nick!

This beautiful 2025 Velocity Chassis super latemodel left the shop last weekend. This car was a full build and left the shop ready to hit the track! On the way home the customer was able to get some testing in and reported the car had great steer and traction even in the unfavorable track conditions!
